This minimum pricing for alcohol policy sounds like the stupidest idea in the world. If there is a problem with neds and Buckfast in an area the police should go in and shut down the off license doing the selling. That way everyone in that community would be inconvenienced so will be motivated sort out their "ned problem" themselves before the police get involved.
I suspect the real motivation behind minimum pricing is to push costs up to Scandinavian levels eventually, the ned angle is just to get "buy in" from the ordinary man in the street.
The SNP should stay focussed on getting independance and not get distracted with all this petty BS.
