Scotch Beef

I heard on the radio today that the Scotch beef producers are advocating that people in Scotland shall only buy Scotch Beef for environmental reasons.
I think they mean that we shouldn't have beef flown around the globe needlessly and people should buy from their home producers.
That seems like a fallacious argument, coming from a net exporter of beef, because obviously environmentally minded foreigners will no longer be able to buy Scotch beef, or do environmental isues only impact people in the UK........... :?

That's right, Scotch beef is a first rate premium product that people want to buy so the producers should stay aloof from that desperate environmental B***S*** :x
